HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Area businesses continue to receive fake money. The latest came Thursday evening when an employee of McDonald’s on East 4th received a fake $100 bill.
On Monday, an employee of Fairview Service Center in Pleasantview reported an individual passing a fake $100 bill as well.
Some arrests have been made, but authorities continue to advise there may be additional bills circulating. Since this is the Christmas season, business owners need to be careful when receiving large bills.
