
Arlan Dean Redenbaugh, 61, died December 6, 2019, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born May 19, 1958, in Hutchinson, to Sherman and Rosetta (Farney) Redenbaugh.
Arlan graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1976 and Wichita Automotive Institute in 1977. He was ASE certified (Automotive Service Excellence). He worked for Unruh Alignment, North American Salt, Eaton Corp., Motor Sport Specialties, and Pfizer as a senior production operator II. He enjoyed building cars (especially his hot rods, tinkering, and developing new creations from his tinkering.
On October 8, 2004, he married Shannon Sue McConnell, in Hutchinson.
Arlan is survived by: wife, Shannon of Hutchinson; sons, Jeff Redenbaugh of Hutchinson, Brad Redenbaugh of Nickerson, Cody Redenbaugh of Wichita; stepdaughters, Kren Littrell (Curtis) of South Hutchinson, Katie Bowlby (fiancee, Michael Young) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Hadleigh and Hayleigh Redenbaugh, Hayden, Liam and Brinley Littrell, Jacob and Korbin Young; brothers, Duane Redenbaugh (Patricia, Galen Redenbaugh (Marlena); sister, Janice Marcum (Larry, all of Hutchinson; Jeff and Brad’s mom, Pam; and Cody’s mom, Lisa, both of Hutchinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Redenbaugh.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at First Church of the Nazarene, 4290 N. Monroe, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Cindy Dubovich officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may sign his book from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary and the family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at First Church of the Nazarene.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County or Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
The family encourages those attending the visitation and service to drive their hot rods and wear their favorite car shirt.
