The Hays Larks open pool play at the 89th National Baseball Congress World Series Friday at 6:00 p.m. vs. the Hutchinson Monarchs at Eck Stadium on the Wichita State University campus.
The Larks are coming off their fourth straight Rocky Mountain baseball league title and received an automatic bid into the NBC WS by virtue of their runner-up finish in 2022,
The Monarchs finished third in the Sunflower Collegiate League. After a slow start, the Monarchs had the second best record in the second half of league play.
This will be the sixth meeting between the Larks and the Monarchs in the NBC World Series with the Larks holding a 3-2 advantage.
