Charles W. Davison, 82, of Hutchinson, passed away November 30, 2019, at The Arbors at Waldron Place, with his children by his side. He was born October 23, 1937, in Sedgwick, to Earl and Crystal (Wilson) Davison. On November 10, 1956, Charles married his high school sweetheart, Connie L. Eshelman. They were married almost 52 years until her death on October 10, 2008.
He was born and raised in Sedgwick, and was a businessman in Hutchinson for many years. Charles loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs, University of Kansas Jayhawk basketball, and Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons.
Charles is survived by: son, Brad Davison; daughters, Kim (Mark) Hopengardner, and Karla (Todd) Karlin; grandsons, Lucas and Josh Karlin; brothers, Gary, Jerry, and Jimmy Davison; sisters, Kaye Hill and Faye Neill; sister-in-law, Norma Whitney; brother-in-law, Joe (Joan) Eshelman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Connie; parents; and brothers, Gene, Max, Don, Kent, and Larry Davison.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Sedgwick United Methodist Church, 600 N. Commercial Avenue, Sedgwick, with The Reverend Jan McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County or Sedgwick United Methodist Church, Sedgwick, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
