Kerry Dean Zahn, 66, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, died November 30, 2019, at his home. He was born December 11, 1952, in Hutchinson, to Edward Otto and Charlene Ola (Skinner) Zahn.
Kerry graduated from Buhler High School in 1971 and received his Associates Degree from Hutchinson Community College. He was a master carpenter in all aspects of construction work. In addition, Kerry enjoyed woodworking, gardening, coin collecting, genealogy, and riding motorcycles. But above all, Kerry was devoted to his grandchildren, enjoying every moment spent with them.
On March 29, 1980, he married Diana Lee Williams in Hutchinson.
Kerry is survived by: his wife of almost 40 years, Diana of Hutchinson; children, Chris Shultz and wife Missi of Hutchinson, Amanda Davis and husband Jefferson of Great Bend, April Kreutzer and husband Alan of Nickerson; grandchildren, Lacie Kidd and husband Jayson, Chance Shull, Hannah Kreutzer, Austin Kreutzer, J. T. Davis, Jolie Shultz, Kaitlyn Kreutzer, Theron Shultz, Jackson Davis, Jaxin Kreutzer; great-granddaughter, Madison Kidd; siblings, Edward Zahn and wife Bonnie of Buhler, Steve Zahn and wife Kathy of Hutchinson, Barb Crouse of Wichita, David Zahn and wife Rose of the Philippines, Lynda Haaland and husband Steve of Fort Collins, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and grandparents.
Celebration of Kerry’s Life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. (December 11, 2019, would have been Kerry’s 67th birthday). Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family present Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., all at Elliott Mortuary.
