Mary ‘Jean’ Wallace, 90, of Hutchinson, died November 22, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born February 26, 1929, in Tescott, the daughter of Levi and Edna (Woods) Ribble. Jean graduated from Tescott High School and worked as an ombudsman for the state of Kansas and as a caregiver in people’s homes. She enjoyed gardening and yard work.
Jean is survived by: children, Michael D. Wallace (Becky) of Hutchinson, Debbie Gibson, of Hutchinson, Kathy McClanahan (Jud, of Salina, Becky Wallace, of Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her dog, Sugar.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Douglas Wallace; and husband, Oliver Wallace.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Boulevard, Hutchinson.
