Donald Lynn ‘Don’ Freeman, 62, died November 18, 2019, at Heartland Haven, Inman. He was born March 10, 1957, in Concordia, to Lloyd Eldon and Rosa Lee (McMurry) Freeman.

Don graduated from Trego Community High School in 1975, attended Dodge City Community College, and the Climate Control Institute in Wichita. He retired as a well tester for Enron. Don enjoyed singing, dancing and anything to do with horses. He had a passion for training and riding horses, and attending horse shows. Don was a certified therapeutic instructor and volunteered in earlier years for Reins of Hope.

Don is survived by: mother, Rosa Lee Freeman of WaKeeney; siblings, Karen Cole (Brian) of Overland Park, Chris Statler (J.C.) of Wichita, Ronald Freeman (Elaine) of WaKeeney, Alan Freeman (Cindy) of Hutchinson; and nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his father and nephew, Jarad Ray Freeman.

Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Elmer, Kansas, with Matthieu Statler officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities-OKC or Kindred Hospice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
