TOPEKA — The first general election debate in the race for the United State Senate seat between State Senator Barbara Bollier and First District congressman Roger Marshall was held Saturday afternoon and lasted nearly 90 minutes.

Due to the pandemic, this virtual debate was conducted in a safe manner, consistent with the guidelines of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the CDC and not at the Kansas State Fair.
The campaigns have also agreed to a debate hosted by the Johnson County Bar Association and Kansas Public Television in the Kansas City Metro area at a date yet to be determined and a debate in Wichita hosted by KWCH television on October 6.
