MOUNDRIDGE — Two intersections along Old 81 near Moundridge will become four-way stops, according to an announcement shared by the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office.
The change will affect Old 81 at Arrowhead and Old 81 at 22nd Avenue. McPherson County Public Works tentatively expects the new traffic controls to be in place by Oct. 20, 2026.

Once the change takes effect, drivers approaching either intersection from all four directions will be required to stop.
The sheriff’s office said it shared the announcement to alert motorists and help keep everyone safe. Officials acknowledged there may be differing opinions about the change.
Drivers should watch for new stop signs and be prepared for the revised traffic controls at both intersections.
