Mary Louise Kile (95) passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Kansas Christian Home in Newton. She was born March 30, 1926 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, the daughter of Victoria McMahan and T.O. Young.
She was a resident of Valley Center since 2002 and of Lyons, from 1962-2002. She was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing and was a master at crossword puzzles.
On November 15, 1945, she married G.B. Kile in Wickenburg, Arizona. He preceded her in death November 17, 2001.
She is survived by two sons, Don (Judy) Kile of Morris, IL and Lyndel (Chris) Kile of Kanopolis, a daughter, Mary Jo (Garrett) Leckington of Valley Center; 6 grandchildren, Lori Rowland, Audrey (Michael) Schoolcraft, Tyler Kile, Derick Kile, Elizabeth Kile, Shelby Leckington, and Abigail Hill; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Olta Potts, JoEllen Thomas, and Carolyn Dryer.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00am Thursday, October 28th at Riverlawn Christian Church, 4243 N. Meridian, Wichita, with visitation at the church beginning at 9:00 am. Graveside will be at 2:00 pm at Lyons Municipal Cemetery, 821 N. Grand, Lyons.
