Jamie Lynn Shuler, 41, died November 30, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born March 24, 1979, in Hutchinson, to Jerry Lynn and Cathy L. (Field) Hicks.
Jamie graduated from Buhler High School in 1997. She earned her LPN from Hutchinson Community College, and RN from Butler Community College. Jamie loved being a nurse, and working at long-term care facilities. For the past five years, she was a nursing instructor at Hutchinson Community College. Jamie enjoyed reading, going for drives, and loved all animals. She attended Westside Baptist Church, Hutchinson. Jamie’s number one priority was her beautiful, four-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn Rose.
On September 22, 2015, she married Aron Michael Shuler at Chapel of the Flowers, Las Vegas, NV.
Jamie is survived by husband, Aron Shuler, DVM; daughter, Kaitlyn Rose Shuler; mother, Cathy Hicks, all of Hutchinson; brother, Heath Hicks (Kellie) of Pleasanton, TX; nephews, Kaden and Parker Hicks; in-laws, Max and Irmie Shuler of Hutchinson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; sisters-of-the-heart, Tammy Jane Hartley of Miltonvale, KS, and Jennifer Desmond of Hutchinson; nephews and nieces-of-the-heart, Lance Hartley, Kaury and Chalasea Stout, and Jessica Pelkey.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Due to Covid-19, celebration of Jamie’s life will be at a later date. Private burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary. The casket will remain closed.
