HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Blue Cross Blue Shield members who are clients of the Hutchinson Clinic were sent a message by the insurance company on Monday. The message is below.
We have been informed by Hutchinson Clinic that they will terminate their contract with us effective Jan. 1, 2025.As a long-standing partner with Hutchinson Clinic, we are disappointed with their decision to limit your choice of providers.
Our focus, though, is on ensuring you, our members, have the care you need from providers you trust. With nearly 100% of providers and hospitals still in our network, there are other provider options in Hutchinson and surrounding communities where you can transfer your care. Our Customer Service Center representatives are available to assist in locating a new in-network provider—call 1-800-432-3990.
Our online Find a Doctor tool also lists providers in-network. Please note that Hutchinson Clinic providers will be listed through Dec. 31, 2024.
Please note this change will not impact our Medicare members. Medicare Supplement members may continue going to any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare. For Medicare Advantage members, Hutchinson Clinic continues to be out of network.
Members can continue using Hutchinson Clinic and its providers through Dec. 31, 2024. However, beginning Jan. 1, 2025, Hutchinson Clinic will be considered out of network. They also sent a graphic that outlines the out-of-network process.
