Silas Gene Borders, died May 10, 2022 at his home in Newton.
Gene was born March 21, 1966 in Eureka, to Silas and Hazel Borders. He graduated high school and went on to get his CDL to drive semi trucks.
It was during his driving that he met Marsha, and the two were wed on June 28, 1997 in Newton.
He is survived by his wife Marsha, his two daughters Kendra and Kayla, and his sister Tabitha Johnson.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place with a memorial service at a later date.
