KC shooting victim on life support, teen charged with murder

KANSAS CITY —A Kansas City man is being held on no bond after he was charged late Wednesday in the fatal February 2022 shooting of Davonte Robinson, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker.

Terrance J. Robinson, 19, faces charges of Murder 2nd Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.

According to court records, on Feb. 22, 2022, Kansas City police were dispatched to the area of 101st and Fremont Avenue regarding an armed individual.

On arrival, police located a victim of shooting on the kitchen floor of a residence. Medical staff at Research informed police that the victim was non-responsive and could not survive his injuries. He is currently on life support. Under Missouri statutes, he is considered deceased.
