HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The meeting that was originally scheduled for a study session for the Board of County Commissioners to go over the fire districts study that was originally supposed to be Thursday has been postponed.
"The special commission session that was scheduled for this Thursday was for the fire study," said Reno County administrator Randy Partington. "Bruce from Five Bugle in Wisconsin was going to come down. That has been moved to Friday, May 7th, so next week. That will begin at 8:30 a.m. in this room."
Five Bugle Training and Consulting was hired in January 2020 at a cost not to exceed $10,000 to examine the strengths and weaknesses of the eight existing fire districts in the county and their future needs. The meeting will be available via video at the county's website.
