Hutchinson firefighters battled a vehicle fire near 12th and Walnut on Thursday morning.
Battalion Chief Justin Holzrichter said that a pickup truck caught fire Thursday morning after the driver reported hearing a loud pop and seeing smoke coming from the engine compartment.
The Hutchinson Fire Department responded to the call at 8:12 a.m. and quickly extinguished the blaze. Firefighters remained on scene for about 30 minutes to ensure the fire was fully out and to assess the vehicle for safety.
No injuries were reported.
