The No. 1-ranked Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team has two more games remaining before the Christmas break. The first of those two KJCCC battles comes Wednesday night at the Sports Arena.

The Blue Dragons (11-0, 5-0 KJCCC) will play the Garden City Broncbusters (7-4, 6-2) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the 100th all-time meeting between Hutchinson and Garden City in series history.

The game will be broadcast live on Blue Dragon flagship station KHUT-FM (102.9) and on sister stations KWBW-AM/FM (1450/98.5) beginning at 5:15 p.m. CT with Sean Boston (play-by-play) and Dan Naccarato (analyst) calling the action. The game will be streamed on the Blue Dragon Sports Network at 5:15 p.m.

The Blue Dragons had their first bye week of the season this past Saturday. They last played one week ago and earned a 66-53 victory over Coffeyville in a battle of KJCCC unbeaten teams.

Hutchinson hit a season-high 15 3-point field goals - three each from Kahlen NorrisLandon Forbes and Katie Duncan - to jump out to a 35-13 at halftime lead. Norris had 13 points to lead the Dragons while Hailey Jackson had 12 and Duncan scored 11 points.

The Blue Dragon defense limited Coffeyville to 2 of 27 shooting in the opening two quarters. The Blue Dragon defense has now held four consecutive opponents to less than 30-percent shooting and 23 turnovers per game.

Garden City's last game was a 56-48 home loss to Coffeyville on Saturday. The Busters shot 31.0 percent and turned the ball over 23 times. That loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Garden City.

Wednesday's game will feature two of the Jayhawk's top three scorers in Blue Dragon sophomore forward Hailey Jackson and Garden City sophomore guard/forward Antonicia Moultrie.

Jackson ranks third in the KJCCC in scoring at 16.6 points per game. Jackson is shooting 44.4 percent overall and 38.7 percent from 3-point range. Moultrie is now leading the KJCCC, averaging 17.8 points per game and is shooting 58.3 percent, which is also No. 1 in the conference.
