
The Wichita State women's basketball team picked up a 54-44 win over Florida Atlantic on Wednesday at Charles Koch Arena.
The Shockers trailed 30-29 at halftime, before out-scoring the Owls 16-4 in the third quarter to take the 45-34 lead going into the fourth quarter.
With the win, Wichita State improved their record to 10-14 overall, 2-9 in American Athletic Conference play. FAU is now 8-16 overall, 2-9 in the AAC.
Jayla Murray led the way for the Shockers with 18 points and five rebounds, while Bre'Yon White scored 10.
The WSU defense held FAU to just 27% from the floor and forced 16 Owl turnovers.
