HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Leavenworth County man was arrested after a high-speed chase through Reno and McPherson counties.
The Reno County Sheriff's Department says 31-year-old Justin Walker of Basehor fled from authorities after being stopped at 108th and K-61 Highway.
Walker fled from the stop into McPherson County at speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
McPherson police officers attempted to stop the fleeing subject’s vehicle by using stop sticks to deflate the tires just outside the McPherson city limits.
Walker eventually drove through a dead end where the vehicle became stuck in a field. He was captured without incident after a short foot chase and booked into the Reno County Correctional Facility on suspicion of felony flee and elude, possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a firearm, along with drug possession and drug distribution.
