Rick Miller, 66, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1955, in Hutchinson, to Richard ‘Dick’ and Jackqueline ‘Jackie’ (Witt) Miller.
Rick attended Partridge Grade School and Haven High School. He worked several jobs through the years, eventually retiring from Morton Salt. Rick received a second chance at life in 2015 after a massive heart attack, and he made the most of it. The most important thing to him were his grandchildren. Rick enjoyed taking them fishing, attending every school and sporting event, teaching Madalyn to drive, and getting them home from school every day. He was with them nearly every day and it still wasn’t enough. Rick’s family will miss his ability to fix anything and everything, and his quick wit.
He is survived by: his children, Rick (Angie) Miller III, Lyndsey (Nathan Reed) Miller, and Chelsey (Mikel Bohringer) Miller; grandchildren, Madalyn and Avery Bohringer, Catherine and Emily Miller; siblings, Mike (Cindy) Miller, Soni (Ken) McClelland, Mark (Michelle) Miller, Tauni (Bob) Manka, and Mitsi (Ronnie) Dale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Cindy Boor.
Per Rick’s request, there will be no services. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, with the family present, at Elliott Mortuary.
