
CONCORDIA, Kan. — No. 1 Hutchinson (13-0, 7-0) has now won 50 games straight after defeating Cloud County (10-3, 5-3) on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Dragons have now won 35-straight conference games.
Hutchinson jumped out to an 11-point advantage after one and went into the break up 18.
Jada Pleasant had a career-high 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting with four assists.
Pleasant had assists on the first two baskets of the game. Madi Denison scored four-of-her-six total points on Pleasant's first two assists.
Hailey Jackson led the Dragons with 23 points and 10 rebounds, her sixth double-double of the season.
The Dragons drilled 6-of-8 three-pointers in the first half and finished 61.5% from distance.
Hutchinson held the Thunderbirds to 2-of-15 from beyond the arc. Cloud County hit 12 triples in its last matchup with Coffeyville.
TiAna Davis was coming off excellent scoring outings (27 points and 31 points) before the Dragon defense held her to seven points on 2-of-13 shooting, including 0-of-7 in the first half.
Cloud County's Lilliana Petersen fouled out for the first time this year and played only 9 minutes and 27 seconds after averaging nearly 25 minutes each game in conference play.
