SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on numerous drug charges following a traffic stop and search of his home.
Just before 4 p.m., Tuesday, police conducted a car stop in the area of SE 21st and SE Rice Road in Topeka, according to Lt. Manuel Munoz. During the investigation, officers located narcotics in the vehicle and applied for a search warrant for the driver’s residence located at 2530 SE Virginia in Topeka.
Officers transported Daniel Torres-Rocha, 46, of Topeka to Shawnee County Department of Corrections and booked him on requested charges of Possession of Cocaine w/Intent to Distribute within 1000’ of a School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Aggravated Child Endangerment and Traffic related charges, according to Munoz.
