Kansas teen hospitalized after rear-end pickup crash

KINGMAN COUNTY—A Kansas teen was injured in an accident just after 6p.m. Tuesday in Kingman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup driven by   Hunter C. Longacre-Thieme, 16, Pratt, was westbound on U.S. 54 one mile west of Kingman.

The vehicle rear-ended a 2013 Ford F350 driven by Christopher A. Helm, 41, Kingman, who was stopped in traffic waiting to turn into a driveway.

 EMS transported Longacre-Thieme to Wesley Medical Center.  Helm and a passenger in the Ford were not wearing seat belts and not transported for treatment, according to the KHP.
