Danny Lee Young |1946-2021|

Danny Lee Young, 74, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born on October 5, 1946 in Great Bend,  to Charles Lavern and Florence "Flossie" (Cunningham) Young. Danny married Rose "Rosie" (Watchoske) Young on October 1, 1977 at Iuka Methodist Church. They were married for 43 years.

Danny graduated from Byers High School in 1964. He earned his Associates Degree from Pratt Junior College. He worked as an Oil and Gas Revenue Accountant. He attended Jenks United Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching KU Basketball and Jenks High School Trojans Football, old westerns and spending time with his family especially his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Tammy (Jeffery) Space of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandsons, Gabriel Alexander Space and Nathanal James Space; brothers, Larry (Linda) Young of Missouri and Ron (Mary) Young of Lenexa; sister in-law, Betty Young of Pratt; nieces, Shannon (Lorne) Young-Clarke of Olathe, Amanda (Adam) Young-Livingston of Overland Park, and Carey Young; nephews, CT Young of Pretty Prairie, Clinton (Adine) Young of Greensburg, Griffith (Amy) Young of Gardner, Chad Young and Chris Young; and many great nieces and nephews.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother; and brother, Chuck Young.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt. Burial will follow at Rose Valley Cemetery, Stafford.
