The Hutchinson Fire Department is investigating the cause of a Thursday afternoon structure fire north of Hutchinson.
According to the department, firefighters were dispatched at 12:14 p.m. Thursday to 5903 North Cactus Drive for a reported structure fire.

When crews arrived, they found a 30-by-40-foot shop building with heavy smoke coming from the eaves. Firefighters initiated an aggressive interior attack and were able to locate and extinguish the fire before it spread further.
Crews remained at the scene for an extended period conducting overhaul operations and investigating the cause of the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
