
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Laurel Cemetery in Haven, Kansas and Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson will participate this year in the National Wreaths Across America Day.
The cemeteries will join more than 4,200 participating locations across the country to Remember, Honor and Teach on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Wreaths Across America started as a simple gesture of thanks and grew into a national, yearlong movement of volunteers and communities coming together to remember our nation’s fallen military and to honor their service and sacrifice by placing live balsam wreaths on their headstones.
Laurel Cemetery will be placing 186 wreaths on veteran graves. Memorial Park Cemetery will be placing 125 wreaths. There will be events at each cemetery. Each event will start at 11 a.m. with a short ceremony and then wreaths will be placed immediately after the ceremony.

Laurel Cemetery is at 5395 E. Greenfield Road Haven, KS.
