HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The 21-seed Northern Oklahoma-Enid Jets needed an extra frame to down the 12-seed South Plains College in game 7 on Sunday Afternoon.
In a nip-and-tuck fast paced contest, which included 11 lead changes the Jets outlasted the Texans. The Jets had five in double figures with Riley Shore and Darian Grant leading the way with 17. Dontrel Yearby had 15, Gavin Barnard with 13 and Kejaun Payne with a dozen.
The Jets shot 41.5 % from the floor as they were 27 and 65 with 9 three pointers.
For the Texans from South Plains College were led in scoring by Antallah Sandin'el with 19 points. Two others were in double digits with Deion Ware with 18 and Keith Richard with 16.
South Plains shot 24 of 64 from the floor for 37.5% with 13 treys in the contest. They end their season at 24-8.
Northern Oklahoma college advances to take on fifth seeded Chipola College at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Their record improves to 21-13.
