
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The positive test rate for COVID-19 in Reno County went down slightly from last week to this week.
In numbers released on Thursday, the 14-day PTR as of September 7 is at 17.0%, which is roughly equivalent to where it was in both October of 2020 and at the end of January of 2021.
The case count as of Thursday is back above 600 at 617, which is roughly where it was right before Christmas of 2020.
Four COVID connected deaths have now been reported to the county with a date of death in August 2021. That's up from just one reported in August as of September 2.
There have been no COVID connected deaths of county residents reported for July.
