
Home sales across the Mid-Kansas region declined in April compared to a year ago, according to the latest housing market report.
A total of 118 homes were sold during the month, down from 148 sales recorded in April 2025. Total sales volume also dropped year-over-year, falling to $19.8 million.

The median sale price for homes sold in April was $155,000, compared to $160,275 during the same month last year. Homes that sold during the month typically spent 18 days on the market and sold for 99.8% of their listed price.
The number of active listings at the end of April also declined slightly. The Mid-Kansas region had 239 active listings, down from 249 a year earlier. That equates to a 2.0-month supply of homes available for sale.
The median list price for homes on the market at the end of the month was $205,000.
Pending activity remained relatively steady. Realtors reported 131 contracts were written during April, compared to 132 contracts during April 2025. At the close of the month, 184 contracts remained pending across the region.
