RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal accident that occurred just before 11p.m. Monday in Riley County have identified the victim as 37-year-0ld Jason Bly of Manhattan, according to a media release from the Riley County Police Department.
Bly was driving a 2000 Toyota Celica westbound in the 1800 Block of Anderson Avenue when it crossed over traffic and struck a retaining wall. Bly was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the RCPD..
Authorities released no additional details early Tuesday.
Anderson Ave. in Manhattan was temporarily closed from Sunset Ave. to 17th Street during the early morning hours while emergency crews worked the scene of the accident.
