Lila Patrice Shoemaker, 62, died October 6, 2021. She was the second born child to Eldon Charles and Dorothy Mae (Damron) Terveen, July 13, 1959, in Weslaco, TX.

She was a Pierce City High School graduate and owner of Home Town Video and Appliance Store, Stafford. Lila enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader for many years, raising dachshunds, crafting, working puzzles, cooking, traveling, playing scrabble, and being a Dallas Cowboys fan. She was also a skilled seamstress who made most of her children’s clothes growing up, a skill she learned from her mother and grandmother, Inez. Lilacs were her favorite flower.

Lila was married to Robert Dean Wright. They divorced. Then on May 29, 2004, she married William "Bill" Howard Shoemaker. He died February 10, 2017.

Mother of two surviving children; Rebecca Lynn Wright and Gabriel Alan Wright, both of Hutchinson; mother, Dorothy Marrs; brothers, Lloyd, Lewis, and Lester Terveen; stepchildren, Holly Shoemaker and Nate Shoemaker; and grandson, Akyn Dallas Wright. 

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Bill; her father, Eldon; and stepfather, John Marrs. 

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Prairie Dunes Country Club at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 10, 2021.
