
PAWNEE COUNTY —Three suspects arrested in connection with a drug investigation appeared in in custody via Zoom before a Pawnee County judge Thursday to face charges.
Just after 10a.m. January 23, the Pawnee County Sheriff's Office and K9 Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Larned as a result of an on-going drug investigation.

Deputies arrested Mark Larson, 53, Tammy Lee Smith, 52, and Trapper Larson, 20, all of Larned and confiscated numerous drugs along with currency and a homemade explosive, according to the Sheriff's Department.

They are all charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of school property, Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of school property, felony drug paraphernalia suitable to distribute a control substance, No Kansas Drug Stamp and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia suitable to consume a controlled substance

Mark and Trapper Larson are also charged with Criminal Possession of an Explosive Device.
Preliminary Hearings have been scheduled for February 11. Mark Larson and Tammy Smith are being held in the custody of the Pawnee County Sheriff in lieu of $90,000 bond. Trapper Larson is being held in the custody of the Barton County Sheriff in lieu of $90,000 bond, according to the. Pawnee County Attorney.
