RENO COUNTY, Kan. — Eastbound K-96 is closed at Haven Road due to an accident.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Kansas Highway Patrol says that shortly after 2 p.m. two commercial vehicles were eastbound on K-96 when the front vehicle slowed to make a turn at Worthington Road. The following vehicle did not see the slowing vehicle and rear ended the first vehicle.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The driver of the first vehicle was treated and released at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to a Wichita hospital with suspected serious injuries.&nbsp;

KHP tells us that their CHART team is on the way to the scene and that the eastbound lanes of K-96 may be closed for a few hours.&nbsp;
