🏀 Jackson leads No. 1 HutchCC to win over Neosho County

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hailey Jackson scored a career-high 30 points, as No. 1 Hutchinson defeated Neosho County, 122-70, on Tuesday at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.

Jackson secured her fourth career double-double and second straight to start the season, finishing with a career-high 14 rebounds.

The 122 points scored are the third-most scored in a single-game in the 51-year of Blue Dragon women's basketball program history. 

HutchCC (2-0) shot 50.7 percent from the floor, and knocked down 42 of 58 free throw attempts for 72 percent. 

Brynne Katcher also secured a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The two Australian-born players on the Blue Dragon roster each secured a career-high in points, Dylan Alexander scored 15, while Katie Duncan added 11.

Neosho County (1-1) finished the game with 46 turnovers, resulting in 55 Hutchinson points. 

The Panthers were led by Tiara Hozumi with 15 points.

HutchCC will host Tabor College JV in the the BSN Sports Tipoff Classic on Friday at 5:30 p.m. inside of the Sports Arena.
