RICE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 10:30a.m. Sunday in Rice County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Chevy Traverse driven by Kathryn A. Collins, 72, Little River, was&nbsp;eastbound on U.S 56 approximately five miles east of Lyons. The SUV traveled off the roadway, continued in the south ditch and struck an embankment.

EMS transported the driver to the Rice Community Hospital. She was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
