Jerry Edward Kerschenske, age 71, passed away at Stormont Vail hospital in Topeka, KS on Monday, September 27, 2021.

He was born in Muscatine, IA January 19, 1950, the son of Harold Edward and Rebecca Belle (Hillier) Kerschenske. Jerry married Tina Marie Carlisle on June 9, 1990 in Carbondale KS. Jerry served four years as a reserve officer for the city of Topeka, KS. He then served one year as a police officer for Burlingame, KS and four years in Scranton KS. Later he became an extradition officer for six years in Manchester, TN., and then resided in Stafford, KS serving as a police officer for thirteen years. Jerry is survived by his wife Tina; sons, Christopher (Sara) Kerschenske, Jason (Tina) Kerschenske, Dr. Jacob (Hanna) Kerschenske DC; Brothers, John Egly, Preston Chenowith, Dwight W. West Jr.; grandkids, Nathaniel Kerschenske, Colby Kerschenske, Maggie Glaves, Ivan Kerschenske, Tori Kerschenske, Brody Kerschenske. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; sister, Janis Caulkins; and a grandchild in heaven.

There will be a private family service at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Thin Blue Line Foundation in care of Minnis Chapel, 125 N. Main St, Stafford, KS 67578.
