Schmidt Foundation donates $20,000 to United Way of Reno County

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Eagle Media, on behalf of The Schmidt Foundation, presented a $20,000 donation to the United Way of Reno County on Thursday at the Eagle Media Center.

Carla Stanfield and Lacey Mills of the United Way of Reno County accepted the check on behalf of the organization.

The donation continues The Schmidt Foundation’s support of organizations working to improve the quality of life in the communities Eagle Media serves.

United Way of Reno County works with local agencies and community partners to address needs across several areas, including youth opportunity, healthy communities, financial security and community resiliency.

The organization provides support and connects Reno County residents with resources through a variety of programs and partnerships, including youth-focused initiatives, community investment programs and the 2-1-1 resource helpline.

The Schmidt Foundation was established in 1988 by Bob and Pat Schmidt with a mission of investing in the success and well-being of local communities. The foundation continues to support nonprofit organizations and community projects throughout Eagle Media’s service areas.

Thursday’s contribution will help United Way of Reno County continue its work supporting local residents, nonprofit partners and community programs throughout Reno County.
