WICHITA, Kan. — The National Weather Service office in Wichita is warning of potential for wildfires again later this week.
Low relative humidity and wind gusts up to 55 mph will promote critical fire weather conditions on Wednesday for portions of central and western Kansas.
Reno County's burn ban expired on March 31 and some agricultural burning appeared to be taking place over the weekend.
Agricultural burning is the most effective way to mitigate long-term fire threats, when done responsibly.
