RENO COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 9:30p.m. Monday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by Preston Lee Lewis, 37, Hutchinson, was westbound on 17th Avenue a quarter mile East of Faubian Street.
The pickup crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2023 Buick Envision driven by Helen I. Blevins, 61, Hutchinson.
Blevins was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported Elliott Mortuary. EMS transported Lewis and a passenger in the SUV identified as Stephanie Paige Blevins, 29, Hutchinson, to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Lewis was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
