
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Partridge man was arrested on Tuesday morning following an incident on Main Street.
Booking records show that 52-year-old Michael W Stewart was booked into the Reno County Detention center on alleged charges of:
- Battery on a Law Enforcement officer – two counts
- Assault of a Law Enforcement officer; Properly identified on Duty
- Battery; Physical contact rude/insulting/angry manner
- Aggravated Battery; Knowingly use deadly weapon – two counts
- Criminal Damage to Property; Without consent; $1,000-$24,999
- Interference with Law Enforcement; Obstruct, Resist, Oppos; felony Case, Execution of a Felony Warrant
Hutchinson Police tell Hutch Post that Stewart is accused of purposely ramming another vehicle, and then following the incident, he was involved in an altercation as he was being taken into custody.
Stewart is being held in the Reno County Detention Center on $23,500 bond.
Stewart is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
