HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College freshman guard Kiki Smith says she will transfer to the University of Arkansas. The 5-foot-7 freshman from Topeka was a big key to the Blue Dragons claiming their first-ever title in women's basketball history.
Smith was named the NJCAA Division I women's basketball National Player of the Year, as well as a First-Team All-American selection. She was also a First-Team all-conference selection and the Jayhawk Conference Player of the Year, plus the conferences' Freshman of the Year award winner.
She averaged nearly 18 points per game, while shooting over 50 percent from the floor.
