HUTCHINSON, Kan. — During the council comments period at Tuesday morning's Hutchinson City Council meeting, Mayor John Richardson suggested that those who received property valuation notices in the mail that they may not agree with reach out to the County Appraiser's office.
"I would advise people to educate themselves on the process," Richardson said. "If they want to dispute their property valuations with the Reno County Appraiser's Office, I think you can go online and see how to do that, if you think your property is not valuated correctly."
Hutch Post has reached out to county staff to set up a meeting with County Appraiser Michael Plank for a future story to go over how those decisions are made. We plan to publish that as soon as we have the information.
