HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Work continues to move south on the third and final phase of the North Main Street project.
Over the next week crews will be removing curb, gutter and sidewalk on the east side of Main Street between 11th and 7th avenues. This means that 8th, 9th and 10th avenues will be closed to the east of Main Street with two-way traffic on Main Street remaining open.
Crews will be finishing and cleaning up on the west side of Main Street, then start construction on the east side of Main Street after the curb, gutter and sidewalk is removed. Intersections on the west side of Main are open and work continues on the crosswalk signal at 9th and Main.
