Terry Lee Ratley, 74, of Newton, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was born in Harrisburg, Illinois to Strother J. and Katherine Ratley. He was a 1965 graduate of Valley Center High School. After graduation, in September, he served in the U.S. Army until August of 1968. Terry married the love of his life, Dianna Earnhart on July 1, 1966.
He owned his own business T.R.'s Automotive due to his love of cars and being gifted as a mechanic. He also worked at Milcon Concrete then Kansas Ready Mix. He enjoyed gardening, working with his hands fixing, repairing and creating things. Yet his greatest love was spending time with his family.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents Strother & Katherine Ratley, brother Bruce Ratley, and grandparents Harvey & Katie Thompson. He is survived by his wife Dianna Ratley, daughter Lorie (Rick) Sobolik, grandkids Miranda Drake and Jackson Taylor, sister Brenda (Robert) Kesterson, and numerous extended family members.
Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 20, at the Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas with military honors. Pastor D. Burchfiel will be officiating.
