HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Clayton Evans, the teacher and coach who faced so much adversity last year, wants to help his students give back to the Jones family of Nickerson next month.
The Hutchinson High School DECA group will be hosting a Field Night for the Jones Family on August 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Don Michael Field in Hutchinson. Entry fee will be $5. There will be lots of fun games to play and a cornhole tournament.
Gate fee and raffle money will all be donated to the Jones family.
Hutch High DECA is looking for businesses who would be willing to donate any amount of money (or items) so they can purchase raffle prizes. The Evans family will be donating a $100 bill as one of the prizes.
They are also looking for volunteers, who will pay for the $10 volunteer t-shirt and give a hand the night of the event.
Everyone is invited, especially any Nickerson High School students and community members who want to help.
Call Coach Evans for more information at (620) 474-2723.
