Wanda Mae Jones |1930-2021|

Wanda Mae Jones went home to Jesus on November 7, 2021. She was born Wanda Mae Fesler, on December 13, 1930, to William and Gertrude Fesler, in Hutchinson. Wanda was their only child. She married Bobbie Ray Jones, on December 17, 1948, in Lyons. They raised five children together.

 Wanda was a hard worker all of her life. She ran the Little Abby Cafe in Abbyville, helped with farming, worked and cooked for countless rodeos and also worked at TECH and Pretty Prairie Nursing home. Her last place of employment was Mennonite Manor, where she worked until she retired in 2017. 

Wanda loved watching her family in whatever activities they were involved in. She was very artistic, and loved to quilt and paint. Wanda was an avid scrapbooker for anything that concerned her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, Abbyville Senior Citizens and Abbyville Quilting Club.

Wanda is survived by: daughters, Peggy Jones of Hutchinson, Janice (Steve) Kraft of Abbyville, Betty (Kevin) Davis of Abbyville and Patti (Scott) Fry of Abbyville; along with 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Bobbie; their daughter, Nancy; and grandson, Bronc Kraft.

Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Abbyville Community Church. Burial will follow in the Abbyville Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Abbyville Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Abbyville Community Church or Abbyville Senior Center, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
