HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council will hold a Special Meeting on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider a resolution allowing the Kansas Attorney General's office to distribute any settlement funds from PurduePharma, Johnson & Johnson and any other opioid manufacturers to the city and assign those claims to the Attorney General's office and to certify that the city has over $500 in costs it can claim in any potential settlement.
A special meeting is required because the deadline to file the proper paperwork is January 31.
