HARVEY COUNTY— One person was injured in an accident just before 2 p.m. Thursday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 International semi driven by 68-year-old Bobby Lee Young of Hesston was westbound on Dutch Avenue and turned south on Halstead Road in front of an eastbound 2017 Buick Enclave driven by 79-year-old Lavina Ann Schroeder of Goessel.
The Buick struck the semi in the eastbound lanes.
EMS transported a passenger in the Buick, 83-year-old Dorothy Mae Zook of Hesston, to St. Francis in Wichita. Schroeder was not transported for treatment. Young was not injured. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
