
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees will do its official notice of intent to exceed the Revenue Neutral Rate for its upcoming year budget as part of the meeting on Thursday.
According to its notification to the county clerk, the proposed mill levy rate is 21.829 mills which is flat with last year, but technically the college will generate more money with the same mill rate due to valuation increases. The hearing date for the budget is set for September 8.
Also on the agenda is approving the bid for the purchase of forty data secure tablets and twenty flexible keyboards, approved by Kansas Department of Corrections for use at Hutchinson Correctional Facility from American Prison Data Systems, PBC for a total purchase price of $19,269.80.
In addition, the board will approve the bid for the purchase of a CDL Class “A” Tractor for the college's CDL training, due to increased enrollment. Cost will not exceed $65,000.
The board will further approve a bid for the replacement of 36 faculty computers, desktops and laptops, and 80 docking stations at a cost of $87,199.35 from Underground Vault & Storage.
The board will also approve a purchase of lab computers at a cost of $257,544.81 from Underground Vault & Storage.
The Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees will meet Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Justice Theater in the Shears Technology Center at Hutchinson Community College at 1300 North Plum.
