LUBBOCK, Texas – Sophomores Aiyanna Green and Jordyn Picolet both had Hutchinson Community College women's track and field indoor Top-10 performances on Saturday on the final day of the 2025 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Texas Tech Sports Performance Center.

Green, a sophomore thrower from Hutchinson, had the best Blue Dragon finish of Day 2 with a ninth-place performance in the women's weight throw. Green posted a career-best throw of 50 feet, 6 inches (15.39 meters). That throw ranks third in Blue Dragon women's indoor history.

Picolet, a sophomore distance runner from Council Grove, Kansas, posted the fifth-best time in the women's 1,000-meter run, finishing 12th with a time of 5:18.67.

The Blue Dragons finished in a tie for 25th place with five points. Those points came from Deisheline Mayer Scott and Janiel Montaque, who placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the shot put on Friday.

Other Blue Dragon performances on Saturday:

+ Mayer Scott placed 18th in the weight throw with a top throw of 44-0 (13.41 meters).

+ Sophomore Abigail Grantham was 20th in the 1,000 meters with a time of 5:20.85.

+ Sophomore Laura Avila was 27th in the 1,000 meters in a time of 5:38.88.

Iowa Western won the women's team national championship with 114 points. Barton was the women's national runner-up with 105 points.

The Blue Dragons will open the 2025 outdoor season on Saturday, March 29 at the Mark A. Phillips Classic in Arkansas City.
